In the spring of 1999, the BISON Children’s Scholarship Fund commenced a partnership with the Children’s Scholarship Fund (CSF) and became part of CSF’s national network of scholarship granting organizations. CSF and its partner programs are committed to empowering families in need with the ability to choose the K-8 schools that best meet their children’s needs, regardless of their ability to pay or where they live.
Through BISON’s partnership with CSF, donations received can be matched. For every $5 donated, CSF matches another $1, bringing the total to $6 to help WNY children, highly leveraging your investment. Since 1999, CSF has invested over $6 million into the WNY community allowing us to serve significantly more children.

This is the 10th consecutive year that BISON has earned this top distinction, validating that our donor dollars directly support our mission of providing tuition assistance to low-income children in a fiscally responsible way. This “exceptional” designation differentiates the BISON Fund from our peers and demonstrates to the public BISON’s commitment to WNY’s future leaders is ingrained in everything we do.
